When Cassie, owner of Sanctuary Skin, was preparing to open a brand-new location, she knew it was time to get updated photos that actually showed off her space, her team, and the experience she offers. With a fresh location and a growing staff, she needed authentic, professional images to match.
Up until now, her website had relied entirely on stock photos, which didn’t capture the personalized, high-quality care she’s known for. This shoot was the perfect opportunity to bring her Virginia skin spa to life online with photos that felt warm, welcoming, and true to her brand.
This brand photography session for estheticians gave Cassie and Sanctuary Skin a full gallery of images they can use across their website and marketing—no more stock photos, just real, beautiful visuals that reflect the heart of their business.
While updated headshots were on the list, the main priority was to capture the Sanctuary Skin team in action. This was key for helping potential clients see what it’s like to work with them—from the calming treatment rooms to the hands-on care they provide.
We highlighted team members working with clients, focusing on a mix of angles and compositions that could be used across different platforms—Instagram, website banners, service pages, and more. These kinds of images do more than just look good! They tell a story and help clients picture themselves in the space.
We kicked things off with individual headshots and team photos at the salon’s front entrance, using the clean logo wall as a recognizable backdrop. The natural light made it easy to capture a welcoming and professional vibe right from the start.
From there, everyone changed into a second look to show more variety. Since Sanctuary Skin offers a range of services, we prioritized photographing the treatments that were most important for their current marketing goals. I worked from a detailed shot list that mapped out which treatments would be captured in which rooms, so the session flowed smoothly and efficiently.
Cassie and her team have already started incorporating the new photos into their Instagram and website to tell a more personal, polished story of their services. The images highlight their signature treatments and the spa’s bright, inviting space, which helps build connection and trust with both current and future clients.
